In healthy individuals, when cortisol goes up, DHEA should too. When I see high cortisol & DHEA on a test, I know that individual is under a lot of stress BUT their body is still able to compensate for that. However, when I see high cortisol but low DHEA, which allows cortisol to be unopposed then that’s NOT a normal, healthy response. DHEA should be elevated as well. When DHEA is low, it’s often the 1st sign of adrenal dysfunction. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’ve dabbled in the world of healthier treats, then you know what I’m talking about :P Often, desserts such as no-bake bars, chocolate bark or even energy bites are best stored in the freezer than in the fridge to help maintain their texture & of course, freshness. I personally love knowing that if I desire a little treat every now and again, I can just pop open the freezer and help myself to something sweet and decadent and best of all - homemade.
